Draymond Green sends emotional message to Warriors amid potential trade exit

For Green, nothing will ever change his love and history with the Dubs, regardless if a trade will happen between now and Thursday's deadline.

Between now and the few hours left before the official NBA trade deadline, the Golden State Warriors are significantly conflicted on where to go.

As they are aiming to execute a needed retooling with Giannis Antetokounmpo as their main target, the Dubs also have to make a painful decision of letting Draymond Green go.

For days, the narratives around Green's potential exit have dominated the headlines across the Bay Area. Steve Kerr fondly revealed that he had a recent heart-to-heart conversation with Green, and the Warriors star himself already broken his silence on the speculations.

In a recent appearance on the Pardon My Take podcast, Green further expounded his thought process of possibly parting ways with Golden State before Thursday's trade buzzer.

"This is home for me. No trade is changing that. What I’ve done here is what I’ve done, and what I’ve been able to accomplish with these fans, this team, and this organization isn’t changing. I’m forever grateful," Green said.

"This is my second home—maybe my third, with East Lansing probably my second—but this is home. There are no hard feelings. I don’t get caught up in it. No one owes me anything, and I’m grateful for my time here."
