The Knicks are compelled to move Yabusele as they don't want to absorb the big man's $5.7 million 2026-27 player option, per NBA insider Jake Fischer. In return, they get Terry's expiring contract.

After a rough season between him and the Knicks, Yabusele is set for new beginnings in the Windy City. The French star endured a lack of playing time under head coach Mike Brown and drew drama from recent reports, averaging 2.7 points and 2.1 boards in 41 games.

He signed a two-year, $11.7 million contract last offseason with New York after a highly impressive comeback season in the NBA last 2024-25 for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Terry, who holds an expiring contract worth over $5 million, spent the last four seasons as a Bull and is averaging 3.5 points, 1.9 boards and 1.3 assists this year.
