Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews featuring the likes of Tyrique George, David Moyes and Jeremey Jacquet that you may have missed…

Attacker Tyrique George has opened up and revealed that he is really excited with his move to Everton, after the Blues agreed to let him go there on loan until the end of the season.

The young forward broke into the first-team set-up under Enzo Maresca, but has struggled to become a permanent fixture in the side this term. He has not featured in the last six matchday squads.

He saw a last-minute transfer to Fulham collapse on Deadline Day in the summer, but The 19-year-old still had alot of suiters that were keen to get him signed up this winter transfer window, and the Blues were in talks with a number of clubs over a possible deal.

But in the end, it was revealed right towards the end of the transfer window that Everton were very keen on getting a transfer deal done for George and after a few days of talking, Chelsea allowed him to leave the club until the end of the season

And George, an explosive and skilful 19-year-old who is capable of playing across the attacking line, will be eligible to make his Club debut at Fulham on Saturday, he told evertontv: “I’m really excited to be here and to enjoy this massive club. I just can’t wait to get started.

“The fans here are exceptional. I know Evertonians are really passionate. They like hard work – and that’s what I’m going to show. I want to be exciting and I want to impress them.

“The gaffer, David Moyes, was another reason [I wanted to join]. He’s an amazing manager who has coached so many players, like Wayne Rooney, and players like that. I’ve had a brief conversation with him and he’s an amazing person as well.

“I just want to enjoy it, learn under him and improve.”

“I feel ready, ready to make an impact,” continued George. “It feels like an exciting time for the Club.

“I’m going to attack this new challenge. I want to hit the ground running as quickly as possible and hopefully I can do that.

“I’ve seen some pictures of [Hill Dickinson Stadium]. It’s massive and looks amazing, so I’m really looking forward to playing there.”

PAUL MERSON SHOCKED AT JACQUET DECISION

Gunners icon Paul Merson has opened up and admitted that he is shocked that Jeremy Jacquet refused a move to Chelsea in the January window and instead opted to agree a summer move to Liverpool.

CHELSEA had been exploring a bid for Jacquet and appeared to make a significant breakthrough in their move as they agreed personal terms with the 20-year-old earlier in the January transfer window.

Jacquet has established himself as one of the most promising young defenders in French football in recent months and was heavily linked with Arsenal last summer, but in the final few days of the transfer window, LIVERPOOL struck a stunning deal for the youngster, worth around worth £55million plus £5m in add-ons, blowing their rivals out of the water.

However, Jacquet will remain with Rennes for the remainder of the campaign before joining up with the reigning Premier League champions until the summer, and Merson has opened up and revealed that he was shocked to see that Jacquet made the move to Liverpool and not Chelsea.

‘Yeah, I found that extraordinary that he’s coming in the summer,’ Paul Merson told Sky Sports

‘They need a centre-half in now to fight for the top four or top five. So yeah, it surprises me. I’m majorly shocked. I don’t know why this kid is staying in France until the start of next season,.

‘If you’re paying that amount of money then you’re going, “We want him now, we want him today!”, and that’s the problem.

‘I don’t know if it’s FFP rules, I don’t know if it is that. If that is the reasoning then I understand.’

Jacquet is a good signing for Liverpool and, as a CHELSEA fan, I’m shocked that he hasn’t gone to Chelsea,’ Merson – a lifelong fan of Chelsea – added.

‘I know Chelsea have got a lot of centre-backs but I think there’s a lot that need to come in and out of Chelsea in my opinion. But I am glad Acheampong has stayed but I think he’s going to be a proper, proper player that kid.’

£60 million is alot of money to splash on someone that ha snot really done that much in the game, it is a massive risk from LIVERPOOL to splash this amount of money when they could have got Marc Guehi for just £30 million earlier in the transfer window.

It was a shock to see that Chelsea missed out on Jacquet, but the lad must have felt that he would get more opportunities playing for Liverpool than he would at Stamford Bridge.

MOYES DELIGHTED WITH GEORGE ADDITION

Everton boss David Moyes has opened up and revealed that he is very happy to have Tyrique George at the club after the Toffees agreed a deal on deadline day with CHELSEA to keep him on loan until the end of the season.

Discussing Everton’s new addition, manager David Moyes has opened up and revealed that he is very happy to see the talented winger join the club, he said: “We are pleased to have signed Tyrique on loan from Chelsea for the remainder of the season.

“Tyrique is a versatile forward who can play all across the front line. I hope he will settle quickly into our squad, and the support from our fans will definitely help him feel at home. We are looking forward to working with him.”

Looking to the future, George added: “Getting European football for next season is a good target for us and I know everyone will be working hard to achieve it.

“I want to come here and help the team win as many games as possible and keep climbing up the table.”

George is one hell of a talent that CHELSEA have big hopes for, so if this loan move works out at Everton and he manages to get the game time that he needs to shine in the Premier League, he will go back to the Blues a much better player.

However – if he impresses alot more than many people expect, there are a number of clubs that will keep a close eye on how he performs while on loan at Everton over the next few months.

This is a great move for George to make that is for sure though guys.
