Former Premier League midfielder Jamie Redknapp has predicted how many trophies Arsenal could win this season.
The Gunners managed to book their place in the Carabao Cup final after beating Chelsea 4-2 on aggregate, with a narrow 1-0 win in the second leg at the Emirates. Kai Havertz scored the winning goal against his former side, and now their attention turns back to the Premier League.

Arsenal face Sunderland this weekend, and with a win, they could go nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table. Furthermore, they are through to the knockout phase of the Champions League, and the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Many have begun to float the Q-word [Quadruple], considering Arsenal’s impressive season, but is that a realistic target for Arteta and the Gunners?
Redknapp predicts three trophies for Arsenal
Former Premier League midfielder Jamie Redknapp appeared on Sky Sports‘ coverage of the Carabao Cup semi-final, and after the game, he hailed Arsenal, suggesting they could win two or even three trophies, despite their ‘safe’ style of play.
Redknapp said: “To get to a cup final, to be six points clear, to be the top team in the Champions League is an absolutely incredible effort, and there’s no reason why they can’t win two, maybe three trophies this year.”
The former Liverpool midfielder also suggested that reaching the Carabao Cup final, could free them up and relax them after a period of slightly poorer form for the Gunners.
“They’ve not been at their best of late, but this result will actually relax them, and they might be able to start enjoying it a bit more, play with a bit more flair. At times I’ve seen them be a little bit tight, playing a little bit safe; I think now they can almost start to relax and play, and then we’ll see an even better Arsenal side.”
Could the Gunners win the quadruple?
Amongst Man City’s recent failings in the Premier League, and Arsenal reaching the final of the Carabao Cup, the odds for the Gunners potentially winning all four major trophies have slashed, and it’s looking like a real possibility.
We ran an article at the start of January assessing the Gunners’ chances to win the quadruple, and the odds at the time were 50/1. However, now, they have really decreased suggesting that Arsenal could become history makers this season.
According to Oddschecker, Arsenal are backed at 33/1 to win all four major trophies, which gives them a 2.9% chance of achieving the feat.
