How Tyrique George really feels about joining Everton permanently from Chelsea - report

Everton’s transfer drought was ended with the last-gasp addition of Tyrique George on loan from Chelsea.

It ended up being a quiet window for most clubs across the Premier League, with David Moyes left waiting until the very final moments for a breakthrough.

George landed on Merseyside and has already been integrated into the side ahead of the trip back down to the capital this weekend.

Footage has already been shared from Finch Farm and George looks to have impressed in Everton training.

David Moyes has surely got to throw George straight in from the start vs Fulham, hasn’t he!? 🤔

Tyrique George’s thoughts shared on possible Everton transfer

Questions still remain over what the buy option fee included in the deal is, with Sky Sports claiming Everton hold a significant option to buy George from Chelsea.

That has been played down by some Everton reporters in recent days as the player’s stance on possibly moving to Merseyside permanently has now been shared.

What did you notice from the footage of Tyrique George’s first training session? 🤩

The boy looks absolutely electric 🔥

According to The Athletic, George is very much determined to prove himself and earn a permanent deal with the Blues.

Everton are said to hold a ‘competitive’ valuation of the winger in their agreement with Chelsea over a permanent deal for the summer.

However, it is now up to the 20-year-old to prove his worth to the fans on Merseyside.

Following his signing, George admitted he’s excited to play alongside Tyler Dibling at Everton, but that may take some time given his compatriot’s slow start at the club.

Dibling has shown just how difficult it is to earn a spot in Moyes’ starting XI, something of which George will surely have been made aware of.

Everton need to throw George in at the deep end

He may have only just turned 20, but George should be thrown in at the deep end this weekend against Fulham.

This is, of course, presuming the winger is fit enough to start a game of Premier League football.

Dibling has really struggled at Everton and questions have been raised over how he has been handled by Moyes.

Throwing George straight into the starting XI would show a lot of faith in the winter signing from his 62-year-old manager.

The early training footage looked extremely positive, but it is another thing doing that in a game.
