Liam Rosenior has provided the latest Chelsea injury news with updates on Reece James and Pedro Neto, who missed the Arsenal clash in midweek.
The duo were not included in Tuesday night's matchday squad to face the Gunners in the Carabao Cup, a game which the Blues lost 1-0. Rosenior said at the time that they were both suffering with "small knocks", which ruled them out of the fixture.,
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Ronenior was unsure if James and Neto will be available to face Wolves on Saturday. He said: "Don't know yet. They have training today. It's a recovery day for the lads who played. We'll check tomorrow."
The Blues boss also confirmed Jamie Gittens is set for a spell on the sidelines. The summer arrival from Borussia Dortmund limped off against West Ham at the weekend and it has now been confirmed he suffered a hamstring injury.
"Jamie is more long-term. He's got a tear in his hamstring which is a real shame for him," Rosenior said.
The Chelsea boss also confirmed Cole Palmer and Estevao Willian are fit to play 90 minutes. On Palmer, he said: "What we're doing not just with Cole, but all of the players, is doing the right tests. We are making sure these players can play at the level they need to be.
"He's been magnificent, he wants to play every minute of every game, but he's also maturing as a human being and understands the bigger picture. The lads played the Club World Cup and had no break. Then they have World Cups to go to."
Rosenior added: "You want all of your players to be 100%, 100% of the time, but that is not going to happen. Frustration isn't the word - I'm trying to get the best out of him and the rest of the team all of the time while taking into account the games coming up. It's not about being not able to play him in some games, it's making sure he feels right and contributing to the team the way he wants to."
