Premier League legend's brother dies in'unexplained and sudden death'

The brother of a Premier League legend and former Welsh international footballer has passed away in a "unexplained and sudden death".

The body of James Hartson, who is brother of footballer turned pundit John Hartson, was found at a property in Swansea on Thursday morning (February 5) .

The news of his death was made at a Welsh crown court today (as the room fell silent over the 53-year-old barrister's passing.

Proceedings at Swansea Crown Court were suspended on Thursday as a mark of respect, reports WalesOnline.

Adjourning a murder trial at the court, Judge Geraint Walters told the jury there had been an "unexplained and sudden death" of a member of the Bar. He added the death had "shaken" the court.

Before becoming a barrister, James Hartson spent 20 years in the police in London and Cardiff, including serving in Special Branch and as a detective at New Scotland Yard.
