Chelsea are very much open to the idea of letting midfield star Enzo Fernandez depart the club at the end of the season, stunning reports have claimed in the media this week.
After a difficult start to his CHELSEA career, Fernandez assumed the captaincy following the appointment of Enzo Maresca and played a key role in leading the club to Conference League success and Champions League qualification last season.
The 24-year-old thrived under Maresca and was left disappointed by the club’s decision to part company with the Italian earlier this month following the breakdown in the relationship between the coach and board
And according to L’Equipe, Fernandez has been so unsettled by the latest managerial upheaval that he is weighing up leaving in the summer, amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
The reigning European champions built last season’s success around a midfield trio of Vitinha, Joao Neves and Fabian Ruiz, but Luis Enrique is keen to add more competition for places.
But according to TEAMtalk, CHELSEA have decided not to close the door on a Fernandez sale this summer and that has left chasing clubs “over the moon” with all the big names still being linked with a move for Enzo.

Enzo has a massive contract at Chelsea, the Blues invested alot of money to the midfielder. He is a man that pretty much plays every week and a player that helps with the leadership in the side.
If the reports are true and Chelsea are open to the idea of him leaving, if he is open to the idea if leaving, then it would come as a massive shock to many Blues fans that have come to love Fernandez for his hard-working performances.
This is probably just a rumour, but one that could actually happen if the right amount of money is offered.
