Liverpool’s teenage sensation Luca Eden has officially been called up to the latest England U15 squad for upcoming fixtures against Cyprus and the USA.

The 14-year-old midfielder continues his remarkable breakthrough season, adding international recognition to an already historic campaign at Anfield. Eden has recently stepped up to join Liverpool’s U18 squad on a more permanent basis following his record-breaking exploits.

Eden has rewritten Liverpool’s academy history books this season. In January, he became the youngest-ever goalscorer for Liverpool U18s when he netted from the penalty spot during a dominant 7-1 victory over Burnley. At 14 years and 319 days old, he broke a record that had only been set earlier in the same season by teammate Josh Abe.

The youngster had already made history in November 2025 when he became the first 14-year-old to ever feature for Liverpool in the U18 Premier League, coming off the bench against Manchester United at just 14 years, eight months, and 20 days old.

This isn’t Eden’s first taste of international football. The technically gifted midfielder captained England’s U15 side during the October 2025 international break and has previously featured in camps against Iceland, Spain, and Italy.

The upcoming tournament in Cyprus is scheduled for February 10-14, with England set to face Cyprus before taking on the USA.

Eden, who joined Liverpool’s academy as a four-year-old in 2015, has drawn comparisons to Steven Gerrard for his tenacious playing style and impressive shooting range. With endorsements from stars like Jack Grealish already under his belt, the Kirkby wonderkid’s trajectory shows no signs of slowing down.
