The Lakers are trading Gabe Vincent and a 2032 second-round pick to the Atlanta Hawks for Luke Kennard, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.
Los Angeles had been looking for a 3-and-D wing and now gets the sharpshooter.
Kennard, 29, signed a one-year, $11 million contract with the Hawks last summer after playing two and a half seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies. Previously, he donned LA Clippers and Detroit Pistons jerseys.
Kennard went 12th overall in the 2017 draft.
This season, he has averaged 7.9 points (53.8% FG, 49.7% 3PT), 2.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists over 46 games with the Hawks.
Vincent, on his end, fought injuries and inconsistencies all season long. He appeared in 29 games so far this year, registering 4.8 points in 34.6% efficiency from the field.
The 29-year-old Vincent has played for the Lakers since 2023 and won the inaugural NBA Cup.
Dalton Knecht is another Lakers option on the trade block before Thursday's deadline, but the sophomore wing is seen as a negative asset.
