The Milwaukee Bucks have reached the day of the NBA trade deadline and have not yet moved ten-time All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo. Even though there have been rumors going around for months [years] that the two-time NBA MVP will force his way out of Milwaukee, it is becoming more and more clear that the Bucks are not willing to move their franchise cornerstone.
Furthermore, Giannis’ most recent interviews have indicated that he, in fact, does not want to be traded and desires to win another Championship in Milwaukee.
In order to compete for another title, though, the Bucks have to improve their roster. Indeed, this season has been, up to this point, a colossal failure in many respects. And if the front office wants to keep Giannis committed, they need to prove to him that they are dedicated to turning things around quickly.

According to reports this morning, the Bucks are in active talks with the Memphis Grizzlies in an attempt to trade for two-time All-Star guard Ja Morant:
The Wolves and Heat, sources say, still believe they are in play for landing Giannis Antetokounmpo today, although like the Warriors, few believe Milwaukee is actually serious about parting ways with their franchise face. I’m still being told the Bucks are engaged with the…

Per the post above, there are still some NBA teams that are holding out hope that they can land Giannis in a trade, but few around the league believe the Bucks are actually interested in moving him.
Instead, it appears that general manager Jon Horst is trying to land another All-Star caliber player to pair with Giannis, presumably in hopes that doing so would quell any trade speculation this summer too.
Morant is currently averaging 19.5 and 8.1 assists per game. However, like Giannis, he has been injured for much of the season and there have been rumors of unpleasant feelings between himself and the organization.
Currently, the Grizzlies star is in the midst of a five-year $197 million contract, which would mean that Milwaukee would need to trade away Kyle Kuzma, Bobby Portis, and/or others in order to get him.
