**Man City manager Pep Guardiola has declared Arsenal as the “best team” in Europe and “maybe the world”.**
The Cityzens will now face Mikel Arteta’s side in the Carabao Cup final next month after overcoming Newcastle, and asked about the game, [**Guardiola**](https://mancitynews.com/man-city-manager-news-vincent-kompany/) said:
“Hopefully, we arrive all good, all fit in March to compete against an exceptional, top-class team. Hopefully, we arrive fit, fine, well, everybody ready. I’m looking forward to that. That is all.”
“It will be good. You have to live this experience. The first title we won here was in the Carabao Cup. When you win something, it helps to win more. It’s a pleasure to play against Arsenal, the best team right now in Europe and maybe the world.”

The clash takes place on March 22nd at Wembley. If Guardiola does lift the trophy, it will be the fifth time he has won the competition, after securing it on four consecutive occasions between 2018 and 2021.
He has not lost a final before in this tournament, but it will be the first time that City have reached the showpiece event since they last won it.

It’s a pretty busy schedule for Guardiola’s team as they have eight fixtures in all competitions coming up over the next six and a half weeks.
Their next game will be at Anfield against reigning Premier League champions Liverpool on Sunday. They then play Fulham (h), Salford City (h) in the FA Cup, Newcastle (h) in the league, Leeds United (a), Nottingham Forest (h), West Ham (a) and Crystal Palace.
They could potentially have a ninth fixture if they make it through to the next round of the FA Cup. The fifth round takes place on the weekend of 7th/8th March.
