Everton took Tyrique George on loan from Chelsea just at the right time.
The west Londoners have now been rocked by the news that Jamie Gittens is likely to miss the rest of the season with a torn hamstring – a player who also operates on the wing like the new Everton signing.
It has left several Everton fans wondering if the loan agreement with Chelsea might be terminated as Liam Rosenior now finds himself with one less winger to call upon – but there is nothing to worry about.
David Moyes has surely got to throw George straight in from the start vs Fulham, hasn’t he!? 🤔

Option to buy gives Everton security over Tyrique George
Everton not only took Tyrique George on loan from Chelsea, but The Friedkin Group also negotiated an option to buy the 20-year-old this summer should he impress at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
It means Everton have a clear pathway to owning the England U21 international on a permanent basis, so Chelsea cannot break that agreement until the Toffees decide whether they want to keep the forward or not.
Even if Chelsea did have the option to recall George, it would be bizarre of them to do so when Rosenior can still call upon Alejandro Garnacho, Pedro Neto and Estevao.
Even when George was still at Stamford Bridge, he was only given 143 minutes of Premier League action across four substitute appearances this season, so a recall would make little sense for anybody.
