Pelicans trade Jose Alvarado to the Knicks

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Guard Jose Alvarado is going home. The New Orleans Pelicans traded the Brooklyn native to the New York Knicks according to multiple reports.

In return, the Pels are getting guard Dalen Terry, two second-round picks and cash. Terry has played 34 games this season, averaging 3.5 points per game. Terry played at the University of Arizona and is in his fourth NBA season.

Alvarado played five season for the Pelicans. The guard has played 41 games this season, averaging almost eight points a contest.

Pelicans are currently 13-40 on the season. They play at Minnesota on Friday night. You can watch the game on Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network.
