New York Knicks guard Miles McBride will undergo surgery on Friday to repair a core muscle injury, commonly known as a sports hernia. According to Fred Katz and James L. Edwards III of The Athletic, McBride could be sidelined until the playoffs.

McBride missed his fifth consecutive game on Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets.
The 25-year-old guard is averaging 12.9 points (42.0% from three), 2.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists over 35 games (14 starts) this season.
McBride is in his fifth season with the Knicks after being selected 36th overall in the 2021 NBA Draft by OKC. He plays both point guard and shooting guard and starred in college at West Virginia.
