According to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints, the Grizzlies are having difficulty generating a real market for Morant, as teams expressing interest have not been willing to offer a first-round pick in discussions.
Siegel adds that GM Zach Kleiman and the Grizzlies’ front office are ready to move on from Morant before the trade deadline if they can secure a first-round pick.
As of now, the Sacramento Kings have been mentioned as the most realistic suitor for Morant at the trade deadline.
However, it currently looks like Morant is set to remain with the Grizzlies after the deadline.
Morant is averaging 19.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game this season, although he has appeared in only 20 games due to injuries.
