Liverpool and Manchester City will go head-to-head at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
Ahead of the tie, Arne Slot has had a lot to say about a variety of topics.
The Liverpool manager, after no statement from him when the deal was confirmed, has now commented on Jeremy Jacquet joining.

Slot has also praised Florian Wirtz after a difficult start to the 2025/26 season following his summer transfer.
Meanwhile, the 47-year-old was asked about the contract situation of Curtis Jones.
Jones was linked with an exit late in the January window, with Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur mooted as potential destinations.
The midfielder stayed put, but with less than 18 months left on his deal, Slot has been asked about Liverpool agreeing fresh terms.

However, Slot was coy in his response, and after attending the presser, David Lynch has said he is ‘hugely concerned’ about the situation.
He stated: “Arne Slot’s answer there [about Jones], he could have said, it would have been so easy to do what Jurgen would have said in this situation and kind of go look he’s a local lad. We love him. He’s a brilliant player. We absolutely want to keep hold of him. But he didn’t do that. And I gave him the opportunity to do it and he didn’t.
“He kind of talked about, well, we’re in talks, and we’ll tell you when anything happens, rather than saying, I love the player. I want him to stay, we’re going to get the contract sorted.
“I know that contracts aren’t necessarily his purview as head coach and he has to leave that to sporting director but he’s also able to apply pressure to them by saying that he wants the player to stay, as he did around Virgil van Dijk for example. He said he wanted Mo to stay as well, and he said he wanted Trent to stay as well.
“So you can go down that route, you can say those things, and he hasn’t said them, and I just think it’s hugely concerning.”
What should Liverpool do with Curtis Jones? His contract expires in 2027 ❌

Curtis Jones Liverpool career stats
Jones is an academy product who has spent his entire career to date on Merseyside.
The now 25-year-old has made 209 appearances for his local club, in which he has scored 19 and assisted 23.
However, as Slot tries to get Liverpool back on track, we are beginning to see the Englishman starting fewer matches.
It would be a real shame if Jones left, as he is one of the few Academy products who plays semi-regularly.
But with Slot seemingly not desperate for the player to pen a new deal, it may well be the case that Liverpool cash in during the summer.
