Award-winning actor and New York Knicks fan Ben Stiller had a funny response to Wednesday's Jose Alvarado trade.
The Knicks acquired Alvarado from the New Orleans Pelicans for Dalen Terry, two second-round picks and cash considerations.

Alvarado is well known for his flair on the court and aggressive defense. NBA insider Jake Fischer said the Madison Square Garden crowd will fall in love with Alvarado's style of play and joked that Stiller could get involved in the action.
Madison Square Garden is gonna absolutely erupt when Jose Alvarado skins his knees diving for a loose ball and slides right into @BenStiller.

Stiller replied to the post, saying he'll be "waiting with open arms" for Alvarado. He's a lifelong Knicks fan who's often seen sitting court side at games.
Alvarado has been one of the Knicks' top targets this trade season. He's a Brooklyn native who spent the first five years of his NBA career with the Pelicans. Alvarado is making $4.5 million this season and will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.
He carved out a consistent role in New Orleans, playing 15+ minutes per game in every season. Alvarado had several memorable playoff moments, including in the first round against the Phoenix Suns in 2022.
Alvarado had a career-best season last year, averaging 10.3 points and 4.6 assists in 56 games. He's a career 35.1% 3-point shooter and can get hot from behind the arc.
He's regarded as one of the league's top perimeter defenders and gives the Knicks a weapon off the bench. The trade comes at a good time for New York, which just lost Miles McBride until the playoffs due to injury.
Alvarado's first home game with the Knicks will be against the Indiana Pacers on Feb. 10.
