Golden State Warriors veteran forward Draymond Green will remain with the team through Thursday's trade deadline, according to Anthony Slater of ESPN.

The report notes that Green was involved in preliminary conversations centered around Giannis Antetokounmpo, though those talks never gained traction.

As Golden State shifted its focus, a move for Kristaps Porzingis emerged, with the idea of pairing Porzingis' skill set alongside Green's complementary frontcourt play.

According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, the Los Angeles Lakers and Green had mutual interest if he had been included in a trade package for Giannis.

Green, 35, is a four-time NBA champion and four-time All-Star. In his 14th season with the Warriors, he is averaging 8.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game.
