The Detroit Pistons had a [fairly quiet NBA trade deadline](https://www.mlive.com/pistons/2026/02/nba-trade-deadline-live-updates-will-the-pistons-find-another-deal.html), with Thursday’s 3 p.m. deadline now behind them.
The top team in the Eastern Conference made one deal on Tuesday, [sending former lottery pick Jaden Ivey to the Chicago Bulls](https://www.mlive.com/pistons/2026/02/thats-my-brother-for-life-pistons-share-early-reactions-to-jaden-ivey-trade.html) in exchange for Kevin Huerter, Dario Saric and a first-round pick swap with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Pistons weren’t making much noise about finding a big move even with their young roster well ahead of schedule and off to a 37-12 record, the second-best in the NBA.
Instead, Detroit added around the margins and will try to top last season’s success with the trusted players in their locker room.
Saric doesn’t appear to be long for Detroit — he’s a likely candidate to be waived so the Pistons can convert two-way guard Daniss Jenkins’ contract — making Huerter, a veteran sharpshooter with a career 37.1% rate from beyond the arc, the only true acquisition.
Let’s take a look at what the other teams toward the top of the Eastern Conference did at the deadline.
Some of these deals may not be finalized yet as they will require physicals that could make the process extend beyond Thursday.
New York Knicks (33-18)
-----------------------
**In:** Jose Alvarado
**Out:** Guerschon Yabusele, two 2nd round picks
The Knicks were looking at a fairly quiet deadline until Thursday. They finally got involved by dealing forward Guerschon Yabusele, who hasn’t been able to crack the lineup after a breakout season with the 76ers last year, for Bulls guard Dalen Terry.
New York turned around and paired Terry with a pair of second-round picks to bring in New Orleans Pelicans guard Jose Alvardo. He’s a Brooklyn native and a high-energy defender who can make an impact off the bench.
Boston Celtics (33-18)
----------------------
**In:** Nikola Vucevic, 2027 2nd round pick
**Out:** Josh Minott, Chris Boucher, Anfernee Simons, 2026 2nd round pick
The Celtics made their big deal earlier in the week, dipping into their guard depth by trading Simons for Chicago big man Nikola Vucevic. Boston’s been playing with an unproven front court and gets a much-needed veteran who also saved the Celtics some money.
Vucevic isn’t a particularly strong defender, but he’ll add some serious help to their group, offensively as Boston continues its unexpected surge without Jayson Tatum.
Cleveland Cavaliers (31-21)
---------------------------
**In:** James Harden, Dennis Schroder, Keon Ellis, Emanuel Miller
**Out:** De’Andre Hunter, Darius Garland, Lonzo Ball, three 2nd round picks
The Cavaliers were one of the most active teams at the deadline, overhauling some key players in De’Andre Hunter and Darius Garland to net 11-time All-Star James Harden and strong guard depth in Dennis Schroder and Keon Ellis.
Cleveland now has to put this together with Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen after a slow start to the season. Their roster is looking among the strongest in the Eastern Conference, but they’ll have to start meshing together quickly as Cleveland’s as close to being out of the postseason as they are to first place in the East.
Philadelphia 76ers (29-21)
--------------------------
**In:** 2026 1st round pick, three 2nd round picks
**Out:** Jared McCain, Eric Gordon
The 76ers didn’t make any additions and in fact dealt reserve guard Jared McCain to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Philadelphia netted the Houston Rockets’ 2026 first-round pick and probably won’t feel too concerned losing a guard playing about 17 minutes per game.
They also traded away veteran Eric Gordon, which opened up a roster spot to sign two-way player Dominick Barlow to a standard deal.
