Kings sign promising big to a long deal

The Sacramento Kings are signing Dylan Cardwell to a reported four-year deal, per Shams Charania of ESPN.

The new contract has two fully guaranteed salaries.

Cardwell was playing through a two-way deal, but he impressed the Kings enough to earn a full contract.

He played in 25 games so far this season, averaging 4.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 20 minutes of play.

After not trading Domantas Sabonis, DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine this past NBA trade deadline, the Kings are securing their future with the 24-year-old.
