Giannis Antetokounmpo happy, committed to Bucks as trade deadline ends

Yet despite this, sources told Chris Haynes that the Bucks will continue their "intel-gathering phase" in determining a potential resolution with Giannis for the offseason.

After all the drama, speculation and chatter, Giannis Antetokounmpo still proudly considers himself a Milwaukee Buck.

Milwaukee Bucks / Schedule

In the wake of not being moved before Thursday's NBA trade deadline, NBA insider Chris Haynes revealed that the Greek superstar remains ecstatic and committed to pushing through with the Bucks.

"Sources close to me told me that he never requested a trade. Obviously, he’s been applying pressure over the last couple of years in hopes that the Bucks would turn this roster into a championship-contending roster. He wants to contend for a title for years during his prime," Haynes said on NBA on Prime.

"But right now, he’s happy. I was told he’s committed and focused on getting back healthy from that calf injury, and he’s progressing really well to the point where he might even play in the All-Star Game on February 15."
