Utah Jazz Take Jock Landale, Atlanta Hawks To Final Horn On Road

ATLANTA — The Utah Jazz took the Atlanta Hawks to the final buzzer but ultimately fell just short in the team’s first game since the NBA trade deadline.

Isaiah Collier played all 48 minutes for the second game in a row and posted 25 points and 11 assists on 50 percent shooting. Ace Bailey played 40 minutes once again, but set a new career high with 26 shot attempts.

Atlanta was led by newly-acquired big man Jock Landale with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Jalen Johnson had a massive triple-double with 22 points, 16 rebounds, and 15 assists.

Utah will continue its road trip through the weekend down in the Sunshine State against Orlando and Miami.

Last week, he started 0/5 in the first five minutes of a game and then took five total shots the rest of the way.

Hoping the misses don’t faze him here in ATL.

With 6:04 left in the first quarter, the @Utahjazz lead the @ATLHawks 16-13.

Ace Bailey is 0-5 here, with four of his attempts coming off the dribble.

I’d imagine there will be a big emphasis on this for the final 30 games of the season, as his development in this area is closely tied to his overall offensive upside.

Wow. Great defense from Cody Williams here early.

Gets the passing lane steal and an assist. Two possessions later, a nasty chasedown block on Jalen Johnson.

— Chandler Holt (@CHoltSports) February 6, 2026

Apparently, between Walker Kessler, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Cody Williams, the Jazz have the three best shot blockers in the league.

If the Jazz are serious about getting better defensively next year, it might be hard to keep Cody Williams out of the rotation at his current rate of development.

As he gets stronger, he’s going to be really impactful.
