Anneke Borbe has been voted our Women's Player of the Month for January after keeping four clean sheets in our first five matches of 2026.
Our German shotstopper received almost half of all votes with 48%, with the other half split between Mariona Caldentey, Beth Mead and captain Kim Little.
Anneke started the month as she meant to go on, making a stunning save to deny Fridolina Rolfo just five minutes into our first game of the month against Manchester United at Emirates Stadium.
After making a number of saves to keep a clean sheet in a goalless draw with the Red Devils, Anneke also kept out Aston Villa in our first FA Cup tie of the season the following weekend, extending her run of clean sheets to four stretching back to December.
Our biggest result of January saw us beat Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, and once again Anneke was on top form to keep the Blues out.
Beth Mead and Mariona Caldentey gave us the lead early in the second half, but Anneke was just as crucial to the result as she held down the fort at the other end.
The final game of the month saw us face AS FAR in the semi-finals of the inaugural FIFA Women's Champions Cup, and once again our goalkeeper proved to be unbeatable for the opposition, as we thrashed the African champions 6-0 in west London.
Anneke wins the award for the first time as a Gunner, less than two months after making her Arsenal debut in our 2-1 win over Liverpool at Emirates Stadium at the start of December.
