A Liverpool icon who lifted the Champions League and Premier League at Anfield has a 'verbal agreement in place' for a Celtic transfer.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, 32, has been a free agent since leaving Turkish side Besiktas in August and he had been training with Arsenal, where he made 198 appearances across a six-year spell. However, he might be better remembered for his time at Liverpool.
After a £35million move, the midfielder won the Champions League, Premier League, League Cup, Super Cup and Club World Cup. However, he also suffered a serious of injuries which plagued his final seasons at Anfield.

Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Besiktas in 2023 and made 46 appearances, scoring five goals, but he left the club in August.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Oxlade-Chamberlain is now set to join Celtic. And he tweeted: "Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Celtic, here we go!
"Verbal agreement in place for the midfielder. He’s in Glasgow today for new chapter on six month deal plus option to extend."
Earlier this week, Celtic boss Martin O'Neil confirmed his interest in the ex-Liverpool star: "I've spoken to him, but I'm sure he has plenty of options, maybe closer to London.
"I'd be very interested in doing it. I'm surprised people haven't taken him up.
"I think he was very excited about what we were saying. He knows all about the club, he's a big friend of Joe Hart and Joe has spoken to him - not on our behalf. It's something we're interested in but if it doesn't materialise, it doesn't materialise."
"The Ox still has something to give. Celtic getting a gem if he stays fit," one fan posted. While a second said: "Short-term deal makes sense. Quality player when fit - could be a smart move by Celtic!"
"And another added: "Short term deal is a smart move. he just needs to stay fit and show quality!"
