Stoke City's long-term injured are hitting personal landmarks on their way back to fitness, even if Mark Robins isn't quite yet ready to give a timeframe on their returns.

Viktor Johansson and Robert Bozenik have started running as they recover from shoulder injuries, Junior Tchamadeu is "not too far away" even if not quite imminent, Lewis Baker is working through a difficult stage post-ankle surgery and Divin Mubama has been back at Stoke as he returns from ankle ligament damage.

Million Manhoef, who missed last weekend's game against Southampton, could be back in time for a trip to West Bromwich Albion while new signing Ato Ampah is not expected to take too long to recover from a toe injury.

Robins said: "It sounds flippant when I say they're a week closer but they're still working through it and it's really difficult to put a timeframe on it.

"They've had significant injuries. It's going to be a while and it'll get boring if I just keep saying they're another week closer. I honestly don't know how long they're going to be. I know they're working.

"Bozzie and Vik have been running around the pitch. They've had their slings taken off, their harness taken off, the strapping, and they're running around the grass again. They are looking quite free and every day I see them they look better. They can shake hands now - although one is right-handed injury and one is left-handed injury.

"They're ok. Vik is a goalkeeper so he has to move his arms and land on his shoulder so that's going to take a little bit of time. He's got to build up that resilience around it. Bozzie will be back, I think, quicker than Viktor.

"Junior is pushing and, I think, he's not imminent but he's not too far away. Lewis has got to work through some pain that he's got."

Loan striker Mubama received his initial assessment and treatment back at parent club Manchester City but he was in the stands last weekend watching Stoke take on Southampton.

Robins said: "Divin will be mixing between the two. He will still get some work at Man City. He was in here yesterday and he is looking really well.

"He will be different when he comes back as well. The fact that he came here on his first loan, it can be really, really tiring. It can take it out of you and it looked like that. This result, while it's enforced, unfortunate and we're disappointing we've lost him, it can be a good break for him, a natural break, to come back and attack the rest of the season once he's fit."
