Chelsea’s best performing player since Liam Rosenior took over hasn’t been Cole Palmer or Moises Caicedo – it has been Enzo Fernandez.
Fernandez has scored four goals since the new boss took charge, assisting another two as the manager frequently depends on him to provide.
With 11 goals already this season, the Argentina international is well on his way to registering his best campaign in front of goal.
How much would Enzo Fernandez cost if Chelsea tried to buy him today? 🤔 💰

Enzo Fernandez not a fan of comparisons to Frank Lampard
The recent sprout of goals has seen Fernandez draw comparisons to Lampard, however the World Cup winner isn’t a fan of that.
He told Sky Sports: “During the time he was our coach, I didn’t play in this position, I played further back, so I couldn’t talk to him much about it. But I’ve been watching and learning from his videos since I came to the club.
“He was an exceptional player and a legend here for Chelsea. I don’t like to be compared to him, because he has achieved a lot more here than I have. He’s an idol. I hope to follow in his footsteps at Chelsea.”
There is still some distance to go to catch Lampard’s tally. The Englishman is the club’s record goalscorer with 211 for the Blues.

Real Madrid have held long-term admiration for Fernandez, however are under the impression it is almost impossible to bring him in.
PSG have also been linked, however Chelsea clearly see the midfielder as a superstar who they would hate to part ways with.
The club have already protected themselves for these situations with a number of their top stars, offering out long contracts to anyone who joins them.
