Eden Hazard says his kids are obsessed about £87m Chelsea target

Chelsea’s focus in the January transfer window was on signing a new central defender, which they were not able to do in the end.

It means the Blues could now bring one in this summer, but they may also find themselves in the market for a new attacker.

Right now, following the termination of Facundo Buonanotte’s loan, Chelsea do not have too many options for the No.10 position.

Or are we missing something?

Cole Palmer is the first choice there, but he has had a couple of injuries this season. And while Joao Pedro has been in red-hot form lately, the Brazilian is needed to lead the line.

Eden Hazard’s children are ‘crazy’ about Kenan Yildiz

One attacker who has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge is Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz, and it seems he has the approval of Eden Hazard’s children.

In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Chelsea legend revealed: “My kids are crazy about Yildiz, they watch tons of videos of him playing and hope to see him in the Premier League. To me, though, he seems like a Real Madrid type…”

Back in December, it was reported that Chelsea were in love with Yildiz and would try to sign him if he did not put pen to paper on a new contract.

Currently, Yildiz’s existing deal is set to expire in 2029, so there is no immediate danger of Juventus losing him on a free transfer.

Even so, Juventus are hoping to tie the 20-year-old down to a new contract.

Why Chelsea face missing out on Kenan Yildiz this summer

While Chelsea may be fans of Yildiz, the chances of them signing him in the next transfer window are starting to decrease.

It is thought that Yildiz is close to signing a new contract at Juventus. And even if he does not, it is going to cost a lot of money to get the Turkey international out of the Allianz Stadium.

According to Calciomercato, Juventus’ valuation of Yildiz is €100m (£87m). A club like Chelsea can afford to pay that fee, but whether they are willing to is a completely different matter.

At some point, though, the Club World Cup winners probably will need to buy a new attacking midfielder.
