Chelsea have been told that midfielder Cole Palmer misses a player who Chelsea sold in the summer.
The Blues suffered a disappointing Carabao Cup semi-final defeat to Arsenal in midweek, blocking Liam Rosenior’s chances at winning his first piece of silverware at Stamford Bridge.
Their attention will now be turned to the Premier League, as Chelsea face a struggling Wolves side over the weekend, in what should be a comfortable game for Rosenior’s side.
Midfielder Cole Palmer will no doubt hope to make an impact, as his form this season has been fractured, scoring just four goals in 13 Premier League appearances.
Chelsea told Palmer “misses” Nicolas Jackson

Chelsea made the decision to sell striker Nicolas Jackson to Bayern Munich in the summer, and they replaced him with Liam Delap, and Joao Pedro.
Jackson took a lot of criticism at Chelsea, but he did work well with Palmer, and former England midfielder Paul Merson believes that the drop off in Palmer’s form is down to the fact that Jackson left the club.
Merson said on the Stick to Football Podcast: “I like Palmer, but Palmer misses Jackson. Jackson made Palmer, and Palmer made Jackson. And people used to slaughter Jackson and say, ‘Oh, he’s no good. He misses chances. You’d love to play with Jackson because he always went that way (forwards).
“You watch Palmer now. He puts his foot on the ball, and there’s nothing there. Joao Pedro wants to come this way (dropping short), and there’s no movement in front of him.”
Is Palmer unsettled at Stamford Bridge?
There have been suggestions of late that Palmer isn’t very happy at Chelsea, and that he is homesick, and wants to return to Manchester.
However, Chelsea boss Rosenior has been very clear that Palmer wants to stay at Stamford Bridge, despite rumours linking him to his boyhood club Manchester United.
