Alexander Isak’s transfer value has dropped since he left Newcastle United to join Liverpool last summer. The Sweden international left the Magpies on deadline day last September in a deal worth £125million.
Isak was asked to train away from the Newcastle first-team in the closing stages of the saga, before eventually completing the move to Liverpool on the final day of the transfer window.
The Sweden international did not feature in any of Newcastle’s pre-season matches, with the Magpies going on to replace Isak with the signings of Yoane Wissa and Nick Woltemade.
Since Isak left Newcastle, the striker made just 16 appearances for Liverpool before suffering a serious injury back in December.
Isak underwent surgery on a fractured fibula and an ankle injury, which is expected to leave the former Newcastle star on the sidelines for a number of months.

Before the injury, Isak had scored just three goals for Liverpool, and now the 26-year-old’s market value appears to have fallen.
Transfermarkt have stated that Isak’s value at the time of his Newcastle exit stood at £121.7million (€140million). However, the site now states that Isak’s valuation has now fallen to £104.3million (€120million) in the months that have followed his departure from St James’ Park.
Given that Isak has featured just 16 times since last May and has spent the bulk of the time since then on the sidelines either recovering from injury or building up his fitness levels, it should not be a surprise to see his market value drop.
Eddie Howe was asked about Newcastle’s peformances this season and reflected on the departure of Isak as having an effect on the club.
"Yeah, of course it was a difficult summer and I said there and then, whenever you lose a player like Alex [Isak], who's one of the best strikers in the world, your team's going to suffer from that,” Howe said back in December.
"I don't care who you bring in to replace him. That's a very difficult piece of your jigsaw to replace.
"Now, it's not just Alex. We're always evolving and changing as players are ageing. And then we've entered sort of, I think, a new dynamic for the team and we're adjusting to that and I think with that comes some bumps and some rough patches.
"I don't know whether backwards is the right word. I think we're changing and morphing into something else and hopefully that something else will be very positive in the future."
