When asked whether Morant will play this season in a press conference on Monday, Kleiman gave a mysterious answer.
"It's a medical determination," Kleiman stated, via Grizzlies reporter Drew Hill.
Morant was linked to multiple teams until the final moments of the trade deadline, but nobody was willing to pay the price for him.
Despite the trade rumors, Morant has been a key player for Memphis this season when healthy, averaging 19.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game.
Injuries have limited him to just 20 games, making his impact harder to sustain. Despite this, the Grizzlies sit 11th in the Western Conference with a 20–29 record.
