CM Punk’s finisher is the iconic Go To Sleep, a move he foreshadows with a pose that has gone even more famous thanks to NBA star Stephen Curry.
Speaking to The Ringer Wrestling Show, Punk was asked about Curry using the iconic gesture. During the Golden State Warriors’ 2022 championship run, Curry began using the “go to sleep” gesture to refer to “night night,” a pose he would hit when a game was officially put out of reach.
Punk said that he hadn’t never met with Curry about it, but didn’t hold any grudge. “No grudge, no,” said Punk. “No heat. I think imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. And he’s a superstar, so I see him doing my pose, I think that’s great.”
Punk then mentioned that eventually, the two will meet up at some point. As for the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, he’ll be putting up his belt against Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 42.
