The Coby White trade between the Bulls and Hornets was changed after the deadline due to a left calf injury discovered during his physical tests.
It is rare for an NBA trade to be altered after the deadline has passed, but that is exactly what happened in the deal involving the Chicago Bulls, Charlotte Hornets, and Coby White.

The Bulls agreed to send White to Charlotte before the deadline. As part of the process, White was required to complete a physical with the Hornets.
By the time he arrived in Charlotte for the medical evaluation, the trade deadline had already passed.
During the physical, Charlotte discovered that White is dealing with a left calf injury that will force him to miss time, according to Fred Katz of The Athletic. With that information, the two teams revisited the terms of the deal.
Originally, Chicago was set to receive three second-round picks in the trade. After the medical findings, the compensation was adjusted.
The Bulls will now receive two second-round picks instead: the New York Knicks 2031 second-round pick and the Denver Nuggets 2031 second-round pick.
White is expected to focus on his recovery before making his debut for the Hornets. Injuries have limited him to 29 games this season, but when healthy, he has been productive. The guard is averaging 18.6 points and 4.7 assists per game.
