Arsenal roundup–Skillful star to leave–Czech excited after signing–Odegaard to leave–Midfielder to get£300k-a-week deal

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal transfer talk that you may have missed featuring Eberechi Eze, Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice and Barbora Votikova that you may have missed….

Attacker Eberechi Eze may decide that a move away from Arsenal at the end of the season may be the best thing for his career, as he will not want to continue to be a bit-part player at this stage of his career.

ARSENAL managed to beat off London rivals Tottenham to get their man last summer and there have been weighty expectations on Eze’s shoulders to live up to his hefty price tag after impressing so much at Crystal Palace.

ARSENAL fans have seen some brilliant flashes of brilliant from Eze since his move to the Emirates, But questions have been asked of Eze’s level of consistency in recent weeks.

The return to form of club captain Martin Odegaard means the England international has largely had to settle for substitute appearances, and with Mikel Arteta looking to carry on adding to the side in the summer, Eze may decide that a move away is the best option for him and his career.

The attacker was flying during his time at Palace, he was playing every minute of every game and managed to show the Premier League just why he was ready for that next step in his career to play for one of the big clubs, but Arsenal may not have been the right move to make.

There is a feeling that the Gunners only made the move for Eze as they did not want London rivals Tottenham to sign him up, they ndidnt need to splash such an amount of money on another midfield option.

It is a world cup year and Eze is probably worried that he may not actually get into Thomas Tuchels squad, when before this Arsenal move, he was guaranteed to be included. So he does have a big decision to make at the end of the season.

ARSENAL have him to a massive contract, but they have options they wants to sign and getting Eze’s £200k-a-week wages off the books may be something they are open too.

VITOKOVA SIGNS UP

Barbora Votikova was over the moon to arrive at the Sobha Realty Training Centre for the first time this week after officially completing a deadline day move to Arsenal right at the very last minute.

ARSENAL completed the signing of the Czech goalkeeper from Slavia Prague on loan as the club felt that they needed some cover for the remainder of the season, and shortly after completing her move, the stopper has admitted that she is very excited about the move.

“It feels amazing,” she said. “I’m really excited to join this special club. I found out recently, to be honest, so it was a quick move but I didn’t really have to think twice about anything and I was super excited for this opportunity.

“Arsenal is the top club in the world or one of the biggest and with the biggest ambitions and with a special team and special players. So for me, it’s a really huge honour to join this club.”

“I’m excited about the level again. “I must say I kind of missed it for the past year and a half. This league is very special and all the games are kind of neck to neck, I would say, and it makes it so interesting and very high level and that’s what I am here for.”

“We had our first training today, so I’m happy to meet them,” she said. “I am very excited to start to work with them and to learn and share our experiences and to support each other. I hope to bring my experiences and positivity and energy into the group and support the GK union.”

“I am really looking forward to it,” she said. “It was, I would say, my dream to play at Emirates. It’s, I think, one of the biggest stadiums and events in the women’s football world. So very, very excited.”

DECLAN RICE TO GET BIG CONTRACT

There has been some fresh reports in the media that have claimed the Arsenal chiefs are ready to lock down Declan Rice to an even bigger contract in the coming months to ward off interest from big clubs.

Rice has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the world since he joined ARSENAL from West Ham in a £105m deal in July 2023, and has become one of the main reasons why the Gunners have been so good over the past 12 months.

While Rice is understood to be happy in north London – and there is no indication he is looking to leave the Emirates – there has been some rumours that the likes of Real Madrid are interested in adding the England midfielder to their squad.

However – in a bid to secure he long-tern future of Rice, who is out of contract in the summer of 2028, Arsenal are reportedly ready to bolster his wages from £225k-a-week to around the £300k-a-week mark.

The potential new deal at the Emirates would mean that Rice will be one of the highest earning midfielders in the Premier League and pretty much end any speculation that he would be tempted into a move away abroad.

Gaizka Mendieta recently tipped Rice to make the move to Madrid: ‘Declan Rice has a lot of respect in Spain,’ Mendieta told BOYLE Sports, who provide the latest football odds.

‘Especially after what he did against Real Madrid last season in scoring two unbelievable goals. For fans who don’t watch the Premier League that was the highlight, but people who watch him every week will see how good he is often.

‘He is in a good place at ARSENALvand he will be hoping he can add major honours to his trophy cabinet this season.

‘Could we see Declan Rice at Real Madrid? If he ever became available, he is exactly the profile of player they would want.

‘At the moment he is competing in the Premier League and the Champions League with Arsenal so he is going nowhere. But if that were to change I think Real Madrid would be looking at him in the market, definitely.’

MARTIN ODEGAARD TO LEAVE?

There has been some fresh reports in the media which have claimed that Martin Odegaard is ready to quit Arsenal at the end of the current season.

Over the past few years, Odegaard has developed into one of the very best midfielders in world football, and one of the most important players that Mikel Arteta has at his disposal.

However – ESPN [via Football London] recently claimed that Arsenal are targeting the signing of Real Madrid’s Arda Guler to become Odegaard’s eventual replacement in the midfield at the Emirates Stadium

The Norwegian hasn’t been prioritised by sporting director Andrea Berta for a new deal in north London. Instead, Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice are next on the club’s list for negotiations after Bukayo Saka’s future was secured.

Now Fichajes.net have claimed that Odegaard has grown uncomfortable with the team’s current direction or his recent role and is ready to lack his bags at the end of the season and seek a fresh challenge.

However, these claims can be contradicted by Odegaard’s instant impact in Arteta’s side after returning from injury last year with the midfielder displacing summer signing Eberechi Eze.

The reports also claim Bayern Munich believe the Norwegian’s leadership to be an extremely attractive quality, and would be willing to match Arsenal’s asking price of around £70 million.

IcFootballnews Says…

Odegaard is one of the biggest players at Arsenal, he is a man that the club can really rely on and a star that the fans will not want to sell leave the club. We are not sure why he would not be happy at ARSENAL, he has never really shown any desire to leave the club.

But he has not been the same player that he has been this season, there have even been times that he really struggled to make any sort of impact on that Gunners side, so it would be a shock to see him leave the club.

However – we would not be surprised to see him actually leave for a big fee.
