As has often been the case in his Chelsea career, Marc Cucurella found himself in a heated situation towards the end of their comeback victory against West Ham at Stamford Bridge.
Cucurella had already found the net after coming on as a substitute, with Liam Rosenior quickly learning how difficult it is to bench him.
With Chelsea holding on to their 3-2 victory, the Spaniard was hounding Adama Traore, giving away a corner but finding himself thrown off the pitch as a result of his efforts.

Marc Cucurella jokes Joao Pedro saved his life during West Ham scuffle
The Frenchman was sent off for grabbing Joao Pedro round the neck in a violent manner, with the Brazilian the first one to jump to Cucurella’s aid after the original incident.
The defender stated how thankful he was to his Chelsea teammate for stepping into the situation joking that he ‘saved his life’.
He told 3Cat: “Joao Pedro saved my life, honestly, if I were Joao, I would have sprinted back like crazy.”
“It was towards the end of the game. I put my body in a bit, we scuffled, and at one point I stood up and saw I was very close to him. So I thought, ‘I’ll stick my head out a little and see if I can stir things up,’ and then he grabbed me, pulled me down, and a real scuffle broke out.”
Both Chelsea and West Ham were charged after the game for their conduct and Traore has also apologised to Cucurella for his part in the saga,
What changes would you make to our side to face Wolves?
Rosenior learns just how important Cucurella is
The left-back established himself as one of the most important members of the first team squad under Enzo Maresca, playing upwards of 70 games in 12 months for club and country.
This is despite the summer signing of Jorrel Hato, who Chelsea have high hopes for after beating Arsenal and Liverpool to a deal.
It is likely that Cucurella stays in the starting XI despite the fact the Blues are now taking on the side who are bottom of the Premier League.
Chelsea face Wolves today in an attempt to strengthen their grip on a place in the Champions League spots.
