Chelsea are pleased with the lack of business they conducted during the January transfer window, but not everybody is.
It seemed like smoke and mirrors for large parts, as the Jeremy Jacquet saga dragged on for the majority of the window without anything really happening.
In the end, it seemed as if Liam Rosenior persuaded the owners to bring back Mamadou Sarr, which is obviously the more cost-effective option.
Now, Chelsea must rely on injured players coming back into play, with Romeo Lavia returning and Dario Essugo recovering when it comes to central midfield.
In defence, Tosin Adarabioyo and Levi Colwill are the two out injured.

John Terry claims Douglas Luiz is a really good signing
Chelsea tried to bring Douglas Luiz to Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window, as mentioned.
But, there was a mixture of the Blues pulling out and Luiz opting for Aston Villa instead.
However, John Terry claims he’s a very good signing for Aston Villa, when talking on his TikTok.
“Tammy Abraham has come in the building, Douglas Luiz is back in the building, two really good additions to their squad.”
What changes would you make to our side to face Wolves?
Douglas Luiz wasn’t really needed at Chelsea
Chelsea ultimately preferred to prioritise the development of Andrey Santos and other young talents already at the club.
The Blues’ midfield depth is surprisingly robust when looking at the versatility of the squad. Beyond the starting partnership of Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, Chelsea have been able to utilise Reece James in a central role, if they really need to.
Although injuries to Romeo Lavia have been a recurring issue, the club panic-buying or taking on high-wage loanees like Luiz would be a step backward.
And after failing to make an impact in Serie A and being unable to secure a regular starting spot at a struggling Nottingham Forest side, he didn’t represent a clear upgrade.
