According to Kendrick Perkins, Donovan Mitchell and James Harden have begun recruiting LeBron James to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Following recent roster additions, the duo is reportedly pushing for a potential third stint for LeBron in his hometown this offseason.
The Cleveland Cavaliers were active during this season's trade deadline.
After bringing in James Harden, Dennis Schroder, and Keon Ellis among others, it seems that their recruitment is still ongoing.
As Kendrick Perkins claimed on the Road Trippin' Show, Harden and Donovan Mitchell are preparing to try to make a push to bring LeBron James back to Cleveland.
"Let me say this, my sources told me that Donovan Mitchell and James Harden are already starting to actively recruit LeBron James this offseason," Perkins said.
"From what I heard, as soon as Harden got on the phone with the Cavs, as soon as they started talking, their initial thought was, let's go and get LeBron," he concluded.
If true, this would mark James' third stint in his hometown of the team that drafted him in 2003, where he also won his third championship in 2016.
James has played 33 games this season, averaging 21.9 points, 6.7 assists, and 5.6 rebounds.
