Fabrizio Romano shares what he's just heard about Morgan Rogers and Chelsea

Morgan Rogers and Chelsea had gone silent during the January transfer window, but it looks like it’s set to heat up again.

Chelsea already have their sights set on a defender, a midfielder and an attacker for the summer months.

This comes after failing to make a first-team signing during the summer transfer window, so you would hope that there are plenty of funds available.

And after seeing how stubborn clubs like Rennes were in negotiations for Jeremy Jacquet, halfway through the season, perhaps it will be easier come the summer.

Although selling clubs will realise that Chelsea have funds available and could take advantage.

CONFIRMED XI VS WOLVES!

Thoughts, Blues?

Chelsea have a long-standing interest in Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, but his performances this season continue to drive his price up.

He’s scored nine goals and assisted seven in all competitions this season, as well as establishing himself as a regular in Thomas Tuchel’s England side.

And it seems as if Chelsea have been paying attention, as according to Fabrizio Romano via his YouTube channel, the Blues still want to sign Rogers.

“Chelsea are still very attentive to Morgan Rogers situation and are big fans of the player. One to watch again in the summer. In case of a huge proposal, there could be a possibility for Rogers to try a new chapter.”

Can Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers play together?

Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers are tactically compatible because they operate in different zones within the number 10 space. While they are often viewed as rivals for a single spot in the England squad, their profiles are complementary.

Rogers is a physical, high-volume ball carrier who drives through the center of the pitch, whereas Palmer prefers to drift onto the right flank to create chances with his left foot.

They played together at Manchester City’s academy, giving them a natural on-field chemistry and a similar understanding of positional play.

The partnership would likely see Rogers operating centrally or as an inverted left winger, allowing Palmer to keep his preferred roaming role from the right.
