Chelsea have taken Wolves apart here at Molineux.
The home side are much improved of late, but this first half shows exactly why they’re dead last in the league.
First they gave away two of the silliest penalties you’ll see, both for fouls on Joao Pedro.
Cole Palmer put both away, and just when you thought his first half couldn’t get any better, he grabbed a third.
Marc Cucurella was played in down the left by a clever reverse pass from Enzo Fernandez, Cucu cut the ball back, and there was Palmer on hard at the penalty spot to slam it into the roof of the net. It was a lovely free-flowing move, and just what we wanted to see today.

Chelsea have perfect chance for changes after first half triple
3-0 up at half time, this is the best opportunity that Chelsea could have asked for in terms of minute management. We are really praying they take off some of their first team regulars at the break, with others to follow.
Malo Gusto, Moises Caicedo, Joao Pedro, Palmer himself… none should be seeing the clock strike 60.
In other news…
Chelsea’s striker today is Joao Pedro, with Liam Delap on the bench. We’re hearing the first whispers about Delap potentially being up for sale in the summer if things don’t improve for him.
Reece James is not in the squad today, making people a little twitchy about his injury status. He’s not played since last Sunday’s game against West Ham, where he featured as a late sub.
