It was the Cole Palmer show at Molineux as Chelsea’s star man returned to form with a bang in the 3-1 win over Wolves.
The England international scored a first half hat-trick against the relegation-threatened opposition, taking his total in an injury-hit season to seven in the Premier League.
Palmer broke a Chelsea record for most hat-tricks in the league, notching up his fourth after previous efforts against Everton, Brighton and Manchester United.
Cole Palmer is back!
Palmer scores on his 100th start. Has any Chelsea player done more than him in that amount of games?

Wolves fans’ desperate chant during defeat to Chelsea
Palmer’s sublime first half performance put an end to any chances Wolves had in this game, despite pulling one goal back after half-time.
It has been a nightmare season for those supporters, and it looked as if they were ready for it to all be over when they were 3-0 down to the Blues.
Journalist Kieran Gill stated that there were some sections of the Molineux crowd asking for the game to be called off as the rain continued to lash down into the second half.
He said: “Wolves fans are chanting ‘call it off, call it off’ as the heavens have opened here at Molineux. Still feel for those wearing their ponchos in their Wetford End.”

Chelsea scouts busy at Molineux
Even though the transfer window has now closed, this has not stopped the Chelsea scouts paying close attention for any future additions.
Reports have stated that Chelsea kept a close eye on Mateus Mane during that game, a player the club have been linked with in the past.
The winger very much looks a victim of playing for a side as poor as Wolves, and still showed impressive moments despite the heavy defeat.
The signing would certainly fit in with Chelsea’s model of signing young players who they can develop for themselves.
