Liverpool have already begun their preparations for the new season after completing the signing of defender Jeremy Jacquet, and now they must make more plans to ensure they get back to where they want to be.
The Reds have had a terrible defence of their Premier League title this season, and currently sit sixth in the table, five points behind fourth-placed Manchester United, despite spending a record amount last summer to strengthen their squad.
The club are desperate to qualify for next season's Champions League, and need to finish in the top five to do so, but Liverpool are already using their status as champions to entice players before they lose it, and they must now repeat the same trick that sealed the deal with Jacquet
Liverpool Must Sign Diomande to Replace Salah
Yan Diomande
Diomande, who has been described as 'outrageous', has become one of the hottest properties in Europe after his performances for RB Leipzig this season, having joined from Leganes last summer.
The Ivorian has scored seven goals and registered four assists in 19 Bundesliga appearances this season, which has seen the club slap a €100m (£87m) price tag on his head to try and fend off the interest from European giants.
One of those is Liverpool, who have already held talks about a deal for the teenage sensation, and it's been reported that they would be ready to pay the asking price requested if it means getting a deal over the line. However, the Anfield club already have an advantage in the race for his signature, after Diomande admitted that it's his dream to join Liverpool in his career.
A new winger is believed to be high up on the agenda this summer, despite the club spending £116m and £125m respectively on Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak last year, and Diomande would be a top target.
That's because the future of legendary star Mohamed Salah remains up in the air following his stunning outburst against the club and Arne Slot earlier this season, and the fact the Egyptian will be in the final 12 months of his contract, while underperforming hugely this season.
Diomande a Salah Upgrade
Yan Diomande
Considering everything Salah has done during his Liverpool career, it may seem harsh to cut him out as soon as he starts to underperform. But Liverpool must do what is best for them, and with his contract status and the interest in him taken into consideration, it's the right time for him to be moved on.
Diomande can come in and offer electric pace, great output, individual match-winning quality, and several years of performances to help the team. Salah is at the other end of his career, and will only struggle more and more as time goes on.
The player wants to join, the club want to sign him, and the time is right for Salah to leave. This is a deal that is written in the stars for the upcoming transfer window.
