In his pregame speech ahead of Saturday's showcase against the Chicago Bulls, head coach David Adelman announced that Cam Johnson (knee) is expected and will return to the lineup.
Johnson hasn't played since Dec. 23 due to a right knee bone bruise. He significantly missed 24 consecutive games, as the Nuggets set a four to six weeks of timetable for his recovery.
Adelman himself previously revealed that Johnson will return before the All-Star Break, and it seems that the sweet-shooting forward is now ready to play.
Before going down, Johnson is averaging 11.7 points, 3.6 boards and 2.4 assists. He is shooting 42.9 percent from the three-point area.
Johnson's return couldn't be more crucial for the Nuggets, as rising star Peyton Watson will be unavailable for a gut-wrenching stretch due to a hamstring strain.
