Stephon Castle was simply an unstoppable force for the San Antonio Spurs this Saturday.
San Antonio Spurs / Schedule
The reigning Rookie of the Year winner delivered a sensational performance to lead the Spurs' 138-125 win over the Dallas Mavericks. Playing 32 minutes, Castle was off the charts with a triple-double display of 40 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists.
He shot 15-of-19 from the field (three triples) and also played solid defense with three steals.
With the major stat line he delivered, he joined the late great Wilt Chamberlain as the only players in NBA history to shoot over 75 percent from the field in a 40-point triple-double game.
He also becomes just the second Spur ever to drop a 40-point triple-double. The first one was David Robinson in 1993.
Castle's triple-double play was so ridiculous that he further earned multiple feats and achievements in the NBA record books.
He is averaging 16.5 points, 6.9 assists and 5.0 rebounds in 41 games this season.
