Liam Rosenior admits there is still one thing that is'frustrating'him as Chelsea manager

Chelsea solidified their position in fifth place in the Premier League table behind Manchester United on Saturday with a win over Wolves – as Liam Rosenior made it four wins from four league games.

Cole Palmer scored a hat-trick – two of which were penalties – as Chelsea eased to a comfortable 3-1 win over Wolves on Saturday afternoon. The Blues avoided a potential banana skin, after losing to Arsenal.

The win piles the pressure on Liverpool who are now four points behind Chelsea in sixth place, with Arne Slot’s side facing Man City later today. But that is now seven wins from nine since Rosenior took over.

Indeed, Rosenior has only lost twice during his short Chelsea stint, both against Arsenal in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup. But there is something that is still frustrating for Rosenior following his arrival.

Liam Rosenior admits he’s frustrated by one thing at Chelsea

Chelsea strolled to a 3-0 lead at half-time as Palmer notched two penalties and a close-range finish. Yet, Chelsea were unable to keep a clean sheet as Tolu Arokodare scored moments before the hour mark.

While it is seven wins in nine for Rosenior, it is only two clean sheets in that time, coming against Pafos and Brentford. Rosenior admits it is “frustrating” that his Chelsea side are struggling to plug the leak.

“Very frustrating. You always want to keep a clean sheet. The 10 minutes at Palace, the first half against West Ham, the first half at Napoli, these moments – I want us to have a perfect 90 minutes, that’s my job.

“I don’t want us to give away cheap goals from set-pieces, I don’t want us to switch off. When we do have more time to work on things, there are game management things; we’ll be even more difficult to beat.

Liam Rosenior uses one word to describe Cole Palmer

While his hat-trick might have been largely made up of two penalties, Palmer is once again the player that is coming in for huge praise and Rosenior was among those dishing out the plaudits for the Englishman.

Speaking after the game in his press conference, Rosenior underlined just how delighted he is to be working with the former Man City star, who put his hands over his ears during his celebration at Molineux.

“He’s played a lot of football over the last year without much rest. But when he’s at his best, Cole is unstoppable. I’m delighted to be working with him,” Rosenior said on Palmer, who played 60 minutes.

Perhaps, removing Palmer from the pitch on the hour mark is a move from Rosenior to keep the England star fresh for Tuesday night, when Chelsea will be hoping to exact revenge on an in-form Leeds United.
