Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo draws severe criticisms from fans after post-NBA trade deadline…

The Giannis Antetokounmpo trade deadline is over after theMilwaukee Buckssuperstar did not get moved before Thursday’s deadline. That means he will finish the 2025-26 NBA season with the only team he’s played for so far in his career in the NBA.

But there’s another drama many fans have raised on social media following the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player’s latest move off the court.

On Friday, “The Greek Freak”announcedon social media platform X, formerly Twitter, that he haspartnered with Kalshi, a major prediction market.

“The internet is full of opinions. I decided it was time to make some of my own,” Antetokounmpo shared. “Today, I’m joining Kalshi as a shareholder.”

Fans react to Bucks star Antetokounmpo’s Kalshi move

While Antetokounmpo is not going to be engaging himself in any trades on any markets with connection to the NBA, fans still have plenty of triggered reactions to it.

“Should be illegal for a professional athlete to be a share holder in a gambling site. Adam silver ruined the NBA.”

“A player partnering with a prediction market company? There is no conflict of interests here?”

“Partnered with Kalshi when your own likelihood to get traded can be bet on there is wild 😭”

“To think Pete Rose was literally banned from baseball.”

“Literal definition of a ‘scam’ and needs to be investigated. @NBA needs to draw the line somewhere”

“Any player getting in bed with prediction markets should be banned indefinitely”

It does not seem that the NBA is alarmed by Antetokounmpo’s move, and it’s unlikely that the league is going to take any action on it.
