On top of that, Milwaukee set an extremely high price for any potential trade. According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Bucks were asking for at least five first-round picks for Giannis.
NBA reporter Evan Sidery noted that the price was astronomical, especially since Giannis was not trying to force a trade.
Starting October 1, Giannis will be eligible to sign a four-year, $275 million extension with Milwaukee if he stays with the team.
