• D.C. homeowner says snow pile blocked parking, forced her to leave home (wusa9.com) — A Southeast D.C. homeowner says a massive snow pile pushed by a bobcat into the parking spaces outside her house has left her with nowhere to park and forced her to temporarily leave home. She’s filed a 311 complaint and is still waiting for a response while the Department of Public Works investigates who’s responsible. Neighbors had been shoveling together, making the situation especially frustrating.
• Jaxson Hayes Issues Apology After Wizards Mascot Incident That Led to Suspension (totalprosports.com) — If you follow the Wizards, you may have seen Lakers center Jaxson Hayes shove Washington’s mascot during a recent game in D.C., an action that earned him a one‑game suspension. Hayes has now publicly apologized to the mascot and both teams, explaining the shove came after his foot was stepped on, while Lakers coach JJ Redick says he views it as a learning moment.
