Not much he could’ve done for all three goals, kicking was better today and he made a couple of decent saves.
Matt Doherty (4)
Was poor in the first half, missed too many headers and gave away a silly foul for the first penalty.
Santi Bueno(6)
Average Santi performance, apart from a few misplaced passes in the second half. He dealt with Joao Pedro well in the second half.
Yerson Mosquera (5)
Gave away a very stupid penalty, there was no reason for it. Defended well in the second half.
Hugo Bueno (6)
Got caught out by Neto’s pace in the first few minutes but dealt with him better as the game went on, got up and down the line well but couldn’t deliver a cross with real quality.
Joao Gomes(6)
Aggressive and brought the ball forward well, him and Angel had a good partnership today.

A good debut, some lovely forward passes. Always wanted the ball. We’ve needed someone like him for a while, he will be an exciting player to watch.
Hwang Hee Chan (3)
Abysmal yet again, first touch is poor and passing is even worse. He shouldn’t start again, we looked much better with him off the pitch.
Mateus Mane (6)
Played well again, got on the ball and made things happen, whipped a good ball in for Tolu’s goal. Also got unlucky with his effort off the post.
Adam Armstrong (6.5)
A solid debut, movement was good, we’ve needed a player like him in the attack, constantly moving to try and get on the ball. Did well for his assist for Tolu’s goal.
Tolu Arokodare (7) MOTM
Tolu improved from last week, he put himself about and made some good runs but just couldn’t quite get a ball into the box. Took his goal very well.

Should’ve started the game in my opinion, so calm on the ball and he defended well when he came on.
