Giannakopoulos addressed the circulating transfer rumors on Instagram, writing in part:
"To have Valanciunas' and Yabusele's signatures sitting in your drawer… to make the best offer for Hayes-Davis and still take an 'L' for other reasons…"
Hapoel Tel Aviv is widely viewed around the market as another leading contender for his signature, as earlier reported by BasketNews' Donatas Urbonas.
Hayes-Davis was waived by the Milwaukee Bucks after being traded from the Phoenix Suns to Milwaukee at the February 5 trade deadline.
The American forward moved to the NBA after a historic season with Fenerbahce, where he won the Triple Crown and was named EuroLeague Final Four MVP.
