Liverpool's new summer recruit Jeremy Jacquet has picked up a "serious" shoulder injury, according to Rennes boss Habib Beye.
The 20-year-old took a nasty tumble during the second half of a 3-1 loss to Lens in Ligue 1 and was in considerable pain as he was helped off the field. "For Jeremy, it's his shoulder," Beye revealed in his post-match press conference.
"And for Abdelhamid (Ait Boudlal, the other Rennes player injured) it's muscular. We'll have time to see, but it's definitely quite serious for both of them."

Liverpool beat Chelsea to secure the signature of the highly-regarded France Under-21 centre-back for £55million plus £5m in add-ons on July 1, tying him down to a five-year deal with an option for an additional 12 months.
"Very pleasing, of course," was Reds manager Arne Slot's assessment of the transfer. He's a very big talent and maybe even more than a talent, but we speak about talent because of his age.
"We weren't the only one interested in him. It's another big compliment to the people working really hard to sign players because we were able to sign such a big talent."

French football expert Julian Laurens is high on the youngster, and he told Sky Sports: "He's the real deal. I know he's only 20, he hasn't played for France and he hasn't played in the Champions League or Europa League.
"He has a long way to go but he's been impressive last season, after they [Rennes] called him back from his loan in the second division, and this season, with Habib Beye. You can't get it wrong. He is going to be amazing.
"He reminds me of when William Saliba burst onto the scene in France with Saint-Etienne, or Wesley Fofana.

"It's about how much you value that potential and talent. You would pay a lot of money for someone who hasn't really proved much. It's a lot of money for such a young player."
